CnCDen hat eine Zusammenfassung des Generals Previews von GameSpy gepostet:
Skaggs demonstrated a bit of the interface to get us started. The Command Center is the center of your base, in much the same way as the construction yard was in the previous C&C games. It is also where you choose the general you want to command your forces. Each side has three generals to choose from, each with four special attributes that can be used in the game: a unique unit, two special abilities (sometimes weapons) and a veteran bonus (i.e. a tank general would have all his tanks start as veterans).
I read through the preview and picked out some other stuff of interest.

-New to the game is the ability to upgrade units and buildings. There are 10-12 upgrades per side.
-Each side will have 12 units and 12 structures that they can build.
-Four neutral buildings that players can capture, but with a slight twist from Red Alert 2. In certain cases, neutral forces will be guarding these buildings, meaning that a small force must be dispatched to capture it, instead of a single engineer.
-Engineers have been eliminated. Now regular units, such as the U.S. Ranger, will accomplish the takeover.

-Each side has a "hero" unit that provides distinct advantages:

US: Your standard commando with C4.

GLA: A sniper-assassin, perfect for creating battlefield havoc. This unit has an armor-piercing bullet that can kill any vehicle`s driver, making the vehicle neutral and capable of being captured by the first soldier that climbs in, regardless of side.

China: The computer hacker extraordinaire. This unit, complete with keyboard and satellite uplink can disrupt enemy vehicle communications so it will not respond to player commands; steal money off the Internet, providing an almost unlimited supply of cash; or hack into buildings to cause them to change sides.
